Controlling The Odds was designed and developed by Matt Straight, a Nutritionist and Personal Trainer for over 20 years. At Controlling the Odds, our aim is to equip individuals diagnosed with cancer with the comprehensive information and guidance they need to navigate a clear path back to wellness.

Please note that the information we provide at Controlling The Odds is not intended to replace consultation with a qualified medical professional. The information provided is to help you better understand cancer and make more informed decisions in regards to the treatment path you choose to take and how to make better lifestyle choices to help your body fight the disease.

Printing and re-distributing our recipes or content for personal gain is not permitted. Your online access is for you to use and you only.
We are happy for you to share our content on social media however request you make reference to Controlling The Odds and refer back to the original site

You may not use our content for commercial purposes unless you have obtained the right to do so from us.

Privacy Policy requires a small amount of personal information from you to set up and maintain your online account. Your personal information will never be shared with third parties without your prior permission.

The information you provide for payment is facilitated through Paypal and Controlling The Odds does not or never will retain any billing information.

We are committed to protect your information and use leading technologies and encryption software to safeguard your data and keep strict security standards to prevent any unauthorized access to it.

The information we store
Comments, Ratings, Favorites, Questions and similar information:
When you submit information to to comment on posts and articles, rate a recipe, answer a question, or mark content as favourite, this information can be stored for viewing in the future.

Member information
A member’s name, email address and personal information which is entered by the user will be stored but not shared with any third parties.
Your stored personal information is displayed on your profile page once you have become a member.

Cookies uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your computer. They make it possible to place orders, to manage your account information, and to better serve you when you visit the website. Some cookies are stored on your computer until you delete them. It you want to avoid storing cookies, you can turn off the feature in your web browser. However, this means that for example you cannot log in or sign up to become a member. Our publishing system WordPress may store a number of temporary or permanent cookies to enable logging in and to facilitate entry of comments on the site. We also store temporary cookies when you register and pay for membership.

Sharing of information with third parties
In general, Controlling The Odds will not share your details with any third party unless absolutely required to do so by law. The exception is third-party providers Controlling The Odds uses to provide our services.

Controlling The Odds uses PayPal to process payments. When you pay, the information required to process the payment is handled through SSL encryption by our payment-service provider PayPal. If you need to update your credit card or account details, please login to your Paypal account.

Google Analytics uses Google Analytics to help us understand how our website is used and therefore Google Analytics stores cookies on our site.

Controlling The Odds uses Mailchimp to send our newsletters and some other e-mails. For those who are signed up for the program, Mailchimp will store e-mail information, and information about how you interact with individual e-mails (like open- and click rates).

Controlling The Odds uses video services YouTube that store their own third-party cookies.

Controlling The Odds partnered with Fittbudd to provide the app where you can view our meal plans, recipes and exercise programs.

The right to request and modify personal information
You have the right to order a copy of the data we have for you. You may also request that we correct personal information, or that we remove your personal information completely.

Additional membership terms
Your payments will be in Australian dollars and are taken weekly from your nominated bank account or card.

You may cancel at any time by logging in and cancelling via the accounts setting in the app or on desktop . Please email for any billing inquiries.

When you join, you will be sent an email from Paypal explaining the terms of your payment and the ongoing direct debit.
