Spices such as cinnamon, cayenne, cumin, turmeric and nutmeg, not only add depth of flavour to our foods, but they also offer a myriad of wonderful health properties.

Numerous studies have documented the antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects of spices which related to prevention and treatment of several cancers including lung, liver, breast and cervical cancer.

One study by researchers at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine, found capsaicin found in cayenne pepper, can slow the growth of cancer cells and in some instances cause cell death for a range of cancers including prostrate, pancreatic and melanoma.
